Technician Research and Development


In this position you will be working in the Research and Development department. This department is responsible for the development, validation and implementation of new virological and immunological methods for the clinical and preclinical services of the company.



Develop and test scientifically valid methods for the detection, quantitation and characterization of viruses, and of virus-specific humoral and cellular immune responses. Design and verify workflow/calculation templates. Write standard operating procedures (SOPs) and forms. Ensure that all quality data is accurately recorded, approved, and provided to the QA department for review in a timely manner.

Education and experience

A completed education (MBO/HBO) in microbiology, virology and/or immunology. Excellent English language skills, both verbally and written. Good knowledge of techniques used in detection and characterization of viruses and virus-specific immune responses, such as virus culture, cell culture, ELISA, ELISpot, Flow cytometry and molecular techniques (PCR, Sequencing). Good appreciation of Good Laboratory Practice.


Salary level

According to education, experience, and company policy. We offer a one-year contract with the possibility of extension upon good performance, and eventually a permanent position.
